Langley United's U13 gold team capped a dream season on Saturday July 2 beating Kamloops 3-0 in Richmond to win the BC championship. Goals were scored by Noal Owen in the 30th minute and Joel Harrison made it 2-0 in the 41st. Wyatt Gilbert then extended the lead in the 50th to a comfortable 3-0 as Langley held Kamloops to just one shot on goal. Langley's dream season ended 23-0-0 as the team captured the League, Conference Cup, Fraser Valley Play-down, Coastal Cup and Provincial Cup titles. Coach Scott Howey commented afterwards: "It's not often that a team can go undefeated throughout the entire season, the boys bought into the style of play we were going to play right from the beginning and never looked back. It took all 17 players that we had throughout out the season in order to achieve what they have done each contributing!"
The team would like to thank the many supporters who came out to support the team at the BC Championship Game.
